Activated oxygen, also known as ozone, is created by taking pure oxygen and electrically charging it. This is done simply by flowing oxygen though an electrically charged tube. Pure oxygen or O2 (two oxygen atoms) is changed to pure ozone or O3 (three oxygen atoms). The third atom becomes a scavenger atom.
The activated oxygen is then funnelled into the desired raw oil where the electrically charged oxygen is slowly infused. The result: a creamy oil that is reported to do wonders for your skin. How Does Olive Stack Up Against Other Oils?
The Potential Ozonide Index (POI) shows how much ozone a particular oil can hold. The more Omega 3s, 6s and 9s an oil has, the more ozone it can infuse and the stronger it is. The formula goes like this: Omega 3s (x3) + Omega 6s (x2) + Omega 9s (x1) = POI.
Olive Oil has a final POI of 92. This makes it a medium strength oil.
