Organic Transylvanian Bee Pollen | Pure Carpathian Mountain Harvest
Our Bee Pollen Granules are sourced from the National Biosphere Reserve of the Danube Delta in Romania — one of the most pristine and ecologically rich environments in Europe.
The Danube Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to over 5,500 species of flora and fauna. This pollution-free environment is vital for producing high-quality bee pollen.
What Makes This Bee Pollen Unique?
🐝 Harvested from bee colonies spread across a vast area, ensuring a rich diversity of floral sources.
🌸 Collected in the famous Carpathian region of Transylvania, known for its wildflowers and untouched landscapes.
🌿 The result is a vibrant pollen with a complex nutritional profile and broad spectrum of plant nutrients.
The bee hives in this region typically contain around 100 colonies, with larger setups of 200 colonies being quite rare. Commercial beekeepers will typically manage thousands of colonies. As a result, the bee pollen is gathered from a wide-ranging area, ensuring a rich diversity of wildflowers and botanical sources in its composition. The pollen is collected in the picturesque Carpathian Mountains, in the legendary region of Transylvania, known for its pristine landscapes and abundant flora. Intensive agriculture is not practiced in this region. The local communities primarily engage in small-scale, self-sufficient farming, often growing food in their backyard gardens for personal use. Due to the area's hilly and mountainous terrain, large-scale farming is not possible, and the primary local activity is animal husbandry. This pristine environment helps ensure the purity and quality of the bee pollen collected.
Our bee pollen is carefully harvested from hives of Apis mellifera carpatica bees, a gentle and resilient subspecies native to the Carpathian region. Known for their calm temperament and strong resistance to disease, Carpatica bees thrive with minimal intervention, allowing beekeepers to follow a more natural, hands-off approach, and work in the bee yard without any protection. This method prioritizes the well-being of the bees, enabling them to forage freely in pristine environments. The result is pure, nutrient-rich pollen collected with care, preserving both the bees’ health and the integrity of the final product.
