Fushi Shea Butter

Handmade and 100% pure, our nutritious premium grade of whipped creamy organic unrefined Shea butter is superbly moisturising and healing for the skin. Sourced from the Yumzaa Women Association cooperative in Northern Ghana, this is Shea Butter made in the traditional way, leaving all its active nutrients intact.

Nutritious as well as replenishing, our premium grade of luxurious creamy organic unrefined, hand-made Shea butter is superbly moisturising and healing for the skin. Organic Shea Butter is rich in Oleic, Stearic and Linoleic acids that help protect, nourish and keep the skin beautifully soft and moisturised. It is also rich in essential vitamins A, E and F. Vitamin F protects the skin, particularly from the sun’s harmful UV rays. It helps promote youthful skin, reduce fine lines and dryness. Vitamins A and E help maintain overall health of the skin and hair as well as nourish the skin and maintain blemish free skin. It almost works as a cleanser, with its cleansing abilities it penetrates the pores and expels clogged dirt and oil accumulation allowing the skin to breathe. Shea Butter benefits also include wound-healing (anti-bacterial) properties to heal skin problems in a healthy, soothing way.

Our Hand Made Shea Butter is sourced from a Women's Co-Operative Scheme in Ghana and made in the traditional method. Being in such a natural state, occasionally fine remnants of shea nut fibre may be visible in the butter, but this is very normal for a natural unrefined butter.

Fushi, meaning ‘eternal life’, began with the combined cultural heritage of Rannesh and Ria and from Ayurvedic family recipes handed down by their grandparents who blended oils and infused herbs to create pure, natural remedies.

We hand-blend the purest, fresh pressed oils and fresh ground herbs in our London workshop, sourcing our ingredients from this season’s harvest, meaning everything we make is less than three months old.

Our Organic Hand Made Shea Butter is sourced from the Yumzaa Women Association cooperative in the Northern part of Ghana in a town called Tanpi in Tamale. They are a member of the NBSSI (National Board of Small Scale Industries) back by the government.
