Cistanche deserticola is a rare and precious tonic herb from the remote desert of Inner Mongolia, virtually in the shadow of Heaven Mountain. It is one of the most revered herbs in Asian herbalism. Cistanche stem is a very potent Jing tonic herb that nurtures both Yin and Yang, though it is primarily renowned as a Yang tonic.
