Golden Flaxseed (European Linseed) - Raw and Organic (250g, 1kg, 5kg, 25kg)

In Stock

We source our organic Golden Linseeds (flaxseed) from the UK where possible. Otherwise it is from Europe (usually from the Czech republic, and not from China), and they are guaranteed raw. It’s very difficult to find truly raw nuts and seeds, but we guarantee that these are not heat-treated – you will be able to taste the difference for yourself.

Linseeds and flaxseeds are the same thing! We prefer these golden flaxseeds because they are less bitter and more flavoursome than brown flaxseeds.

Flaxseeds are well known as an excellent source of fibre, essential fatty acids, and lignans.

How To Use

Flaxseeds shouldn’t be eaten as they are as they are hard to digest – grind them up and use them to thicken and bind recipes, or soak them in water and use the gel.

Flaxseeds are very popular among raw fooders for making crackers & breads. To make your own flax crackers for a fraction of the cost of shop-bought ones, simply soak 1 cup flaxseeds in 2 cups water. Flavour them as you choose - sweet or savoury! After a few hours, spread them on a dehydrator tray and dry for 18 hrs.
