Summer Solstice Yoga Magic Class (June 19th, Online)

In Stock

Saturday June 19th, 7.0-9.0pm BST

New for 2021, Kate is combining her love of music and her love of yoga in a unique new offering. This two hour event is a Vinyasa-based flow accompanied by a live DJ to take you on a meditative journey.

The class is suitable for all levels; the emphasis is not on achieving perfect postures but on really being in your body and having fun with it. The class incorporates a mini-dance break, so you can really shake it all out, let go, and feel the bliss of release. There is a long savasana and meditation at the end, so you can incorporate the healing effects of the practice into your system, and use the energy created to offer up prayers for the peace, joy and freedom of all.

"Kate's practices integrate body, breathing, conscious movements and meditative awareness in a way that resonate with me and my body, I feel she has an intuition like no other yoga teacher I have used before. I feel safe to push my body further with her as I have full comfort knowing she's there behind me watching my every move. Kate's energy and encouragement can only make you want to get more out of your yoga practice. I highly recommend her." Becki B

Booking closes 5.0pm on the day of the class.

Further Information

About the Yoga: The sequence will feel stable and comfortable at all times. The aim of these sessions is not to achieve some idealised version of a pose, but by focussing on the breath and the internal awareness of the posture, to take you further into your being and strengthen your relationship with your inner self to achieve a state of zen and calm.

About Kate: Kate has had a personal practice for 30 years, and has followed Sivananda, Kundalini and Bikram methods in that time. She completed her 200 hr YTT in 2018, in London with Stewart Gilchrist, one of the world’s leading yoga teachers. Stewart’s emphasis is anchored in the ancient traditions of yoga, bringing to life the timeless wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras in a uniquely contemporary way.

About DJ SoulProvyder: A veteran of the London house scene, he has played at clubs such as Ronnie Scotts, Jazz Cafe and East Village over the years. He is part of the 4tothefloor collective, who have a weekly show on Soho Radio, and a monthly club night in Shoreditch which attracts all the best house dancers in London. Expect soulful house grooves to elevate your spirits.

You need:

  • A stable Internet connection

  • A yoga mat
  • A blanket
  • Blocks or cushions are optional
  • Wear loose-fitting clothes
  • Don't have the room too warm as your body will heat up as you start moving
  • Good speakers are a plus
