Description

You already know that we are all about sustainability here at Raw Living, and everything we offer is produced with maximum respect for our mother earth. So we couldn't be more delighted to partner up with Teemill to create this range of high quality organic clothing, so you can rep the brand in a stylish and comfortable way. There is much to love about these garments, but uniquely Teemill are trying to "close the loop" when it comes to clothing. What does that mean? It means that every item has a unique QR code in the label, and when you have decided that you have finished with it, you can return it (at no charge), and Teemill will recycle it and make new t-shirts with the old fabric. You can't get more environmentally responsible than that!

Organic Cotton Tote Bag. Twill Weave (170gsm). 37 x 42 cm (7cm gusset.) Made in India / Designed on the Isle of Wight. Wash Cool, Hang Dry.

Interestingly, with our totes because of the quality of the cotton and the processes they're made from their strength should be comparable to any premium heavy weight ones. Typically, heavier weight totes are bulked out with lower quality materials to make them stronger.

Send us pics of you with your Raw Living bag and we'll send out prizes to any ones that we use!

Further Information

To say sustainability is important to us is an understatement. It is why we exist. And when the World Economic Forum said our technology is "leading the way" on sustainability, or when the UN and other globally recognised think tanks use Teemill as a case study for what the most sustainable business models of the future might look like, it speaks to the fact that choosing Teemill will actually make a difference.

• First working Circular Economy for clothing
• Remill® tech means old material is recovered and remade
• All garments made from GOTS certified organic cotton
• All packaging is made from plants, not plastic
• Carbon Neutral website and Factories powered by renewable energy

60% of clothing is made out of plastic and 99% is never recycled. The circular economy is a fundamentally different model that looks set to change everything, and it’s built in to every organic clothing product that we sell.

We only print your products once they've been ordered so there's no waste from speculative mass production. Modern applications of tech, such as robotics, are key to making this system work. The environment in all the factories is clean, light, modern and positive.

Throughout the supply chain, renewable energy is used. Manufacturing operations run on solar power and, in India, the factory owns two wind farms and a 150kw PV array. Renewable energy is affordable, reliable and something we are committed to using, making all the clothing carbon neutral.

Organic cotton is better for the producers and the ecosystem in which it is produced. Instead of toxic pesticides and fertilisers, co-planting and insect traps are used along with the special ingredient - cow poo. It encourages biodiversity and leads to the extra soft feel of your garments. Order one to see for yourself!

Because we know that all the garments are made using natural materials only, it's easier to remake them into new products when they become worn out - that's what we mean by 'circular supply chain'. Each product is designed to be sent back to the manafacturer and the material is reprocessed, respun and made into new products, saving 95% of the carbon and water it would take to make one raw product. You can find instructions for how to send products back on the care label inside every product.

Wastewater from dyehouse effluent is a major source of pollution in the clothing industry. Where your products are dyed, the water is recovered, cleaned and recirculated. At the end, the water coming out of the filters and going back round to be reused again is crystal clear, literally clean enough to drink.

By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. That's why we use a rip and splash-proof mailer bag made out of paper to send out your garments instead, printed with a fun marine print.
